The Death of Jacques de Molay

On October 13th, 1307, Philip the Fair had all the Knights Templar arrested. The Grand Master of the Order of the Temple, Jacques de Molay, is sentenced to death. But as the flames of the pyre engulfs him, he casts a curse on the king and his descendants: “All of you be damned until the thirteenth generation of your race!”
